McKee Foods — A Family Bakery

McKee Foods is a privately-held, family-run company best known for our line of Little Debbie brand snack cakes. Since 1934, McKee Foods has been blessed with a reputation for doing business the right way. Our founders, O.D. and Ruth McKee, instinctively knew that great companies are built on the principle of doing the right thing every day and in treating all people honestly, fairly and with respect. It is this example that the third and fourth generation family owners still follow today.

McKee Foods is still owned and operated by the McKee family. O.D and Ruth's grandchildren lead the enterprise now, and the fourth generation is not far behind. We've grown tremendously, but we keep a sharp eye on what got us here today — honesty, integrity, innovation and fair treatment of our employees, vendors and consumers.

Quality and Food Safety

Our goal is to produce an extensive selection of products that delight consumers with their quality and value. Quality begins with the recipe — finding a winning concept with exactly the right combination of flavors and textures that make our products so enjoyable. After baking, products are packaged to preserve that just-baked taste. And of course, our products are the result of the efforts of our dedicated employees who are trained on the best practices in baking and in food safety. Though we sample every batch before it is shipped, we know that the ultimate quality test will be performed by you. We hope you're delighted!

Environment

McKee Foods has long practiced environmentally friendly actions for both economic and ecological reasons. Of course, the company meets or exceeds all federal, state and local regulations regarding air, waste water, storm water and hazardous waste. But we also take many voluntary actions to help the environment.

We know there's no single solution to being good stewards of the environment, but we feel there are a number of things we can do to help, whether they're big things, like using solar panels to offset electric power usage, or little things, such as collecting aluminum cans in the break rooms.
