 When we outgrew our facilities in southeast Tennessee, we opened a plant in Gentry, Arkansas, to allow us to serve more states in the West. Bakery operations started in 1982 and since then, the facility in Gentry has been expanded several times to meet ever-growing demand for our products.

Built in 1982, the Gentry, Arkansas Manufacturing facility has helped McKee Foods serve the western United States and Mexico. The facility employs more than 1,500 people. The Gentry Plant is active in the community, supporting United Way and local schools through donations of time, money and products.



Gentry is a city in Northwest Arkansas located in Benton County with a growing and thriving community of more than 3,000 people. Gentry boasts more than 160 businesses, including restaurants, bed and breakfast establishments, small industry/manufacturing plants, retail stores and service-oriented businesses.     The Northwest Arkansas region was recently ranked among the top places to live by U.S. News & World Report. And Bentonville was recognized as one of the best places to visit in 2016 by Outside Magazine; selected as the mountain biking capital of Arkansas by Singletracks; and featured in The New York Times for its restaurants, breweries, bike shops and museums.


    Benton County, with more than 200,000 people, has become one of the fastest growing population and economic growth centers in the country. There are three large lakes and seven marinas within 50 miles of Gentry. Grand Lake has more shoreline than any other lake in the United States. Beaver Lake State Park, Devil's Den State Park, the Ozark National Forest, and Withrow Spring State Park are close by.


    Benton County is an astonishing place to call home and has something to offer for everyone. Whether you enjoy hunting and fishing, hiking the lush hills and walking trails, or if shopping is your desire, there are unique stores and museums to browse. 


    The Benton County area has three theaters and performing arts centers and nine museums. The most popular are the Walmart Visitors Center (home of Sam Walton's first five-and-dime store in Bentonville near the company's headquarters) and the Daisy BB air gun museum. The Northwest Arkansas Symphony and Northwest Arkansas Theatre are located in Bentonville, 23 miles away. The area hosts several arts and crafts fairs and summer concerts in a downtown park.
