Recruiting Process

Our recruitment process is made up of four steps and focuses on identifying, screening, interviewing, and hiring the very best candidates.
Step 1 - Recruitment
McKee Foods uses many methods to recruit qualified candidates, such as job advertisements, internet postings, state unemployment agencies, and referrals. Job fairs and campus recruiting events are also important ways to attract potential employees. Our goal is to encourage interested applicants to apply for positions that are suited to their interests and qualifications.

Step 2 - Screening
Once we have an applicant pool, we narrow it down to the most qualified. This is not a simple task. We may have dozens to hundreds of applicants for any position. The goal of screening is to narrow the pool of qualified applicants to those who will be interviewed.
After we receive your application or resume, it will be reviewed against the requirements of the position. Because we receive a large number of applications and resumes, only the most closely aligned candidates will be directly contacted. If you are not selected for an interview, you will receive a phone or e-mail message verifying your application status.
Step 3 - Interview
The interview process may include a phone interview with a McKee Foods' recruiter and/or hiring manager and a face-to-face interview. The primary purpose of this process is to evaluate your job and organizational fit, and to give you a better understanding of the position and the company. The interviews are truly a discussion, where you as an applicant may ask questions and learn about us while we learn about you.
Step 4 - Selection
We make the final decision to hire based on all of the information we have about the candidates, including background check results. Once a position has been filled, those applicants who have been interviewed will be notified. It is our goal to hire the most qualified person for each job opening.
