Food Safety
ven more important than providing tasty products is providing safe ones. Our responsibility for food safety begins with product design and the selection of ingredients, through the production processes, and extends all the way to delivery.
Food Safety BEGINS with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Good Manufacturing Practices require food manufacturers to make sure that:
- Buildings and warehouses are appropriate for producing and storing food products.
- Processing equipment is suitable for food manufacture.
- Maintenance and sanitation needs are identified and fulfilled.
- Employees handle food in a safe and sanitary manner.
We have Identified Food-safety Concerns.
At each stage of the production process, we have carefully identified food-safety concerns and introduced procedures, equipment, and training to manage them. Our trained employees monitor food-safety control points to ensure that any problems are quickly detected and corrected. We monitor control points such as:
- Incoming ingredients for compliance to specifications.
- Sifters, strainers, magnets and metal detectors.
- Use of ingredients that contain food allergens.
- Packaging integrity.
- Ingredient and finished product traceability.

All of these activities help make sure that our products remain safe and meet or exceed standards.
We Hold Regular Audits and Inspections.
Our manufacturing plants are regularly inspected for compliance to sanitation and food-safety standards by independent inspection services, and also by state and federal authorities. We also conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure that our standards are continuously met.
Letting our guard down might result in disappointed consumers — and risking our reputation. That’s why we keep our focus firmly on food safety.
