 ot many people realize that McKee Foods is more than our Little Debbie brand. We are composed of several companies that came into being to provide a broader array of innovative products that meet the evolving expectations of our consumers and customers.
 In 1974, we purchased Sovex — a small granola manufacturer in Collegedale — which was renamed Blue Planet Foods, Inc. in 2004. Blue Planet Foods, a subsidiary of McKee Foods, produces toasted oats and grain products under the Heartland® brand. In addition, Blue Planet provides business-to-business solutions for companies within the food industry.
It’s no wonder that McKee Foods has been recognized for our good business practices by the U.S. government, local governments, and national business and baking industry publications—we’re always looking for A Better Way.
